Everyone (young & old) is invited to our annual “Trunk or Treat” event Oct. 29. Children 6th grade & under are encouraged to wear a costume (use good judgment in selecting appropriate costumes) and gather treats. The rest of us can come, park our car, and pass out treats from our trunks (you can decorate if you like). The parade of treats will start at 5:00 pm, but if you are decorating your trunk, you will want to come earlier. Following the parade, around 6:00 or 6:30 pm, in lieu of a 5th Sunday potluck, the elders will be providing dinner with hot dogs, chips, dessert and drinks for all to enjoy. There is a sign-up sheet on kiosk, so we know how much food to get. The teens also (for a service project) will be having games in the gym for the kids to play during dinner. Come out and support Hyland at our annual Chick Fil A Spirit Night on 104th & Federal, Thurs. Nov. 2 from 5-8 pm. Remember to inform the cashier (inside or in drive thru) that you are helping out Hyland Christian School so the school gets a percentage of your sale.

Please finish filling your change cans for Mountain States Children’s Home. The goal is $62,000 to offset costs for clothing, perishable food items, recreational needs and spiritual development. Remember we need the cans returned to the building by Sun. Dec. 3. Let’s all get excited about children that can and will be helped by this campaign.
